“I love working with you because you are easygoing. It is so much fun to travel with you! You are willing to shoot footage in cold basements, in the water, in the rain, on stairs, on sand, in leaves, on tiny stones, and generally anywhere. You are never angry with me when I ask you to shoot the same scene again and again. You make the other dancers feel comfortable, even if they have never done a video shoot before.  I love working with you because you are such a good friend.”

For the past 25 years Ra Paulette has been scraping and shaping New Mexico's sandstone into elegant, man-made caves. Paulette calls them his "wilderness shrines" - massive in scale, poetic in their design. A sculpted cave by Ra Paulette is the setting for Human Landscape Dance's Persephone and Demeter.
